TPSquared - Moving Inventory
Conceptual Overview
TPSquared provides features to move inventory between locations and/or to move inventory between sizes. This is done at the item level.
Additionally, transferring inventory between locations, such as a farm and a retail location, the user may use the "Transfer worksheet" feature that allows the user to specify the original location and the location at the receiving end. When the transfer worksheet is mark as "Received" the inventory is depleted at the original location and automatically recorded as stock available at the receiving location.
Technique
To make use of the location change feature access the item thru the top bar main menu under inventory and select the inventory options sub menu item.
Select the item in question and allow the inventory maintenance forms to load. The bottom half of the form is designed to show the user all of the recorded locations where an item can be found.
Highlight inventory at a specific location and click the "Adjust Inventory" button. Both features, moving inventory between locations and moving inventory between sizes, are available from the type of adjustment selections.
The Plot/Bin/Store features allows the user to select a different location and how much of the existing stock, recorded at the original, to move.
The user can change both location and Plot/Bin/Store or only the Plot/Bin/Store Identifier.
Additionally the user can leave notes in the specified area if they so desire.
The item Size swap feature also allows the user to move the inventory to a different sized item before selecting a new location and/or Plot/Bin/Store.
Note: In both instances described here the new location and/or Plot/Bin/Store identifier must be valid for the item in question before the action can take place.
