Pricing Techniques
TP2 has 10 price levels, any one of which can be assigned to any customer.
The titles, or names of these price levels, are assigned by the user during setup and configuration. The user need not use all 10 price levels.
Sale pricing may be applied to all or any one of these price levels at any time. This can be specified as a percentage or dollar discount.
Sale pricing can be done at the item level or in batch mode.
Contract pricing is also available for any customer and any customer may have several price contracts in place at any time.
Volume discounts are also available at any price level.
TP2 also contains a batch re-pricing sub-system. Within this sub-system any item, or group of items, can be adjusted with just a few mouse clicks. Prices can be adjusted up or down based on a percentage or dollar amount. Prices can be rounded to the nearest nickel, dime, quarter, half-dollar, whole dollar, .49 or .99 cent level. Prices can also be adjusted as a factor of another price.
